About ROBERT BLATMAN

Robert graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications.

 

Upon graduation, Robert campaigned for and received a position with a renowned television commercial production company to assist their staff in the production of national television commercials. He learned quickly, gained the trust of his peers, and progressed to Assistant Cameraman nine months after graduating from college.

 

Collaborating on each new production with talented film Directors, Directors of Photography, Creative Directors, Art Directors, Copywriters, Brand Managers, Production Designers, Lighting Directors, etc., Robert was afforded the opportunity to witness, learn from, and contribute to the brightest and most innovative minds in the advertising business in the 80s and 90s.

 

With a focused commitment to his goals and a talent for visual storytelling, Robert advanced to the position of Director of Photography at the age of 27, and Madison Avenue came calling. Offering a cutting-edge aesthetic and mastery of composition, movement, and lighting, Robert’s stock rose quickly. Within the span of a few short years, his television commercials garnered top honors at the Clios, the Emmy’s, the IBA Awards, and the London International Advertising Awards.

 

Interest in Robert’s body of work in advertising grew and feature film assignments soon followed. A look back on his film and advertising career spans more than 20 years and includes the photography of 18 motion pictures and more than 1000 national television commercials.

 

 

Sensing a shift in the film production business and feeling a desire to remain closer to home with his growing family, Robert seized on an idea to combine his passion for residential real estate with his talent for advertising and photography.

 

In 2002, Robert moved his family to Ladera Ranch, formed the Blatman Group with his wife Susan, and teamed up with First Team Real Estate to bring their brand of service and expertise to the business of residential home sales and marketing.

 

Achieving Top Producer status their first year in operation, Susan and Robert have earned First Team’s prestigious Hall of Fame Award every year since 2003. At First Team’s recent annual Hall of Fame gala, this dynamic husband and wife team swept the awards ceremony taking home the 1st Place Team Sales Award, 1st Place Team Overall Units Award, and the company’s coveted Gold Medallion Award.

 

Robert brings his extensive background in advertising and photography to bear on each property listing represented by the Blatman Group. He not only personally photographs each listing, but his expertise in the art of visual product branding, copywriting and image retouching have proved invaluable in enhancing a property’s qualities to attain maximum value.

 

A self-proclaimed perfectionist, Robert’s attention to detail and tremendous organizational skills assure that every property, big or small, is expertly publicized, while every advertising and marketing venue that is appropriate and available, is explored and utilized.

 

In addition to his creative talents, Robert brings a unique combination of traits to the business of residential home sales: the toughness of a born negotiator combined with a genuine concern for the welfare of his clients. Robert’s strong commitment, coupled with his ability to overcome any obstacle, has made him the highly successful real estate professional he is today.

 

Robert resides in Ladera Ranch with his wife where they have successfully raised three children. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors®, the California Association of Realtors®, the Orange County Board of Realtors®, the Director’s Guild of America, and the International Cinematographer’s Guild.

 

When he’s not in the office, Robert may be found boating, skiing, scuba diving, flying, watching movies, or traveling - with his cell phone and laptop in tow, of course, always keeping a watchful eye on his team and his work.
